PT KIM received a visit from the Indonesian Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, the Directorate General of Customs, the Director of the Cement, Ceramics and Non-metallic Quarry Processing Industry, the Director of Industrial Areas to discuss plans to expand a Semiconductor Company (Penang based) to KIM.

(Assistant Deputy for Strategy and Policy for Investment Acceleration, Deputy for Investment and Mining Coordination, Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Mr. Parjiya (Head of Region Head of Regional Directorate General of Customs and Excise North Sumatra, Mrs. Wiwik Pudjiastuti (Director of Cement, Ceramics and Goods Processing Industries) Non-metallic Quarrying, Directorate General of Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Textile Industries), Mr. Jonni Afrizon (Plt Director of Industrial Region of the Ministry of Industry, Mr. H. Faisal Arif Nasution (Head of the North Sumatra One-Stop Investment and Services Service), which was received directly by Mr. M. Hita Tunggal (Director of Development & Operations of PT KIM).
This visit was a follow-up to the Indonesia Business Forum which was previously held in Penang (29/11). The existence of a semiconductor industry labor supply in Medan and the geographical proximity between Penang and Medan are factors in the desire to develop the industry in this field.
