The Board of Directors of PT Kawasan Industri Medan (KIM) has launched a caring environment by empowering people in around the industrial area which became operational area of the state-owned enterprises
The program of care for the environment is characterized by holding various events which led to the importance of hygiene and environmental sustainability.
One of them is to hold Clean Friday activities to engage and empower communities around KIM.
"Clean Friday's event is the first step care about the environment and empower communities through labor-intensive, the goal of environmental awareness," said Managing Director (CEO) of PT KIM R Achmad Boediono after the declaration of mutual cooperation within the framework of a clean environment and community empowerment, Friday (13 / 2).
He said he had identified various problems in KIM so there needs to be an effort to solve such a problem of waste, flooding, and the other by way of empowering people.
All industrial waste in KIM could certainly have been sterile and into WWTP PT KIM, the results thrown out.
Related to the problem of waste in KIM, Budioni explained that from the company's performance appraisal ratings program (proper) that supervision over 335 companies and regions as well as the services sector by the Ministry of Environment in collaboration with provincial environmental agencies (cross-sectional), the period of 2013-2014, KIM reached the proper ranking of blue in environmental management.
