Non-subsidized electricity rates in March 2015 Down Again

Jakarta, (Analysis). PT PLN (Persero) establishes non-subsidized electricity tariffs in March 2015 again decreased compared to February 2015.

Data rates of electric power obtained from PLN website on Monday said that in March 2015, non-subsidized electricity rates for five classes of customers decreased Rp41,67 per kWh.

PLN set electricity tariffs in March 2015 period is Rp1.426,58 per kWh.

Meanwhile, the previous rate in February 2015 by Rp1.468,25 per kWh.

Thus, there is a decrease Rp41,67 per kWh or 2.8 percent.

The new electricity tariff per kWh Rp1.426,85 of the force on the five classes of the non-subsidized household customer medium with power 3500-5500 VA R2, R3 large households with 6,600 VA power up, medium businesses B2 6600-200000 VA, office government 6600-200000 VA P1, P3 and street lighting.

The fifth group in February 2015 also decreased the rate of 1.86 percent compared to January 2015.

In January 2015, the five categories listed electricity tariff per kWh or down Rp1.496,05 Rp27,8 per kWh compared to February 2015.

Meanwhile, rates five other non-subsidized electricity customer classification in March 2015 also decreased compared to February 2015.

Electricity tariffs in March 2015 for business customers large group B3 over 200,000 VA, large industrial I3 over 200,000 government kVA and above 200 kVA P2 set Rp1.105,47 per kWh.

That number has decreased compared to rates in February 2015 by Rp1137,76 per kWh.

As of January 1, 2015, the government implemented the adjustment tariff scheme (tariff adjustment) for the 10 class electric customers.

With this scheme, the electricity rates fluctuate up or down depending on the three indicators, namely the oil price, exchange rates, and inflation.

The government plans to add two more classes are charged at R1 with power adjustment of the 1300 VA and 2200 VA power R1 which is still subsidized.

Both classes of customers will increase towards the economical rates or become non-subsidized gradually from April to September 2015.

Currently, the subsidy rate R1 1,300 and 2,200 VA is Rp1.352 per kWh.

Thus, as of October 1, 2015, a total of 12 classes of customers will be charged a rate adjustment. (Ant)
