Jokowi Law Hundreds of Regional Head and Bos SOEs to the Palace

Jakarta, Indonesia CNN - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) plans to call the Regional Head Regents-level, the Mayor and Governors throughout Indonesia to the National Palace to follow up synchronization package of economic policies that have been launched. Not only that, as much as 119 Director of the State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) will also be collected the heads of state in the same place.

This was disclosed by the Cabinet Secretary Pramono Agung during a visit to the office of Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Jakarta, yesterday.

"The President expressed about the tasks of the central government have been resolved, but there is the task of local governments that they must also be completed soon. Because useless if the central government can be more efficient but in the area are not efficient," said Pramono.

Quoted from the Secretariat of the Cabinet (Setkab), the total number of participants who were invited to the palace as many as 667 people who will be divided into three sessions based on the grouping of each Regional Head and SOEs.

The first session will be held at 1:00 p.m. to 14:30 pm, followed by the governors, regents and mayors from the region of Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi, and Maluku, as many as 279 participants.

While the second session held at 3:00 p.m. to 16:30 pm will be followed by the governor, regents and mayors from the region of Sumatra, Kalimantan and Papua, as many as 269 people. And the third session will be held at 5:00 p.m. to 18:30 pm on the main directors of SOEs as many as 119 people.

As we know, the Government has launched four economic policy package. Package Volume I launched on 9 September 2015 with a focus on boosting the competitiveness of national industry through deregulation, de-bureaucratization, as well as law enforcement and business certainty. In addition, the government also wants to speed up the national strategic projects by eliminating various obstacles, blockages in the implementation and completion of a national strategic project. The last package wants increase investment in the property sector.

Package volume II was launched on 29 September 2015 is more focused on the investment license for the existing industries in the industrial area, and for the industries that are outside the industrial area.

Followed by Volume III package, which was launched on October 7th, 2015 to focus on the decline in energy prices and improving the business climate. Lastly, the package volume IV, which was launched on October 15, 2015 with a focus on employment as wide as possible, where business and investment are given the ease of employment.
