Surabaya (AFP). Minister of Industry Saleh Husin believes, industrial estate development that uses the concept of integration infrastructure can effectively improve efficiency and reduce logistics costs by 20 percent.
Industrial coming into the region will benefit from the facilities to support the production and at the same time cut the 'cost' in the long term. This is a powerful magnet for factories and companies, "said Saleh in Gresik, Sunday (14/2).
He expressed these views while visiting the industrial area of Port and Java Integrated Industrial Estate (JIIPE) in Gresik, East Java, on Sunday (14/2).
JIIPE, which integrates the port, rail and motorway network is standing on an area of 2,933 hectares with the absorption of current investment of 500 million US dollars of the estimated total investment of Rp50 trillion absorption.
In terms of energy supply, JIIPE plans to build three power plants consist of a 15 MW power plant, power plant of 500 MW and 660 MW thermal power station.
Each plant will begin operations starting in the first quarter 2017, fourth quarter 2018 and the fourth quarter of 2020. (Ant)
