Drag it to the Gas Supply Industry in Medan Bakal Ended September 2015

Jakarta-year -Bertahun industries in Medan difficult to get a supply of natural gas. It will soon be over after the gas pipeline project segment Belawan-Medan Industrial Area (KIM) Special Economic -Kawasan (KEK) completed by September 2015.

The gas pipeline project produced by PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero). Since the groundbreaking project by the President Joko Widodo on January 27, 2015, the planting project pipeline continues to show progress.

"Progress of the project work until mid-June has reached 72%," said Hendra Jaya, President Director of Pertamina Gas in a statement on Wednesday (06/24/2015).

The plan Belawan-KIM segment will be built with 18-inch diameter pipeline with a capacity of 89 MMSCFD. While KIM-SEZ segment which has a diameter of 12 inches with a capacity of 40 MMSCFD (million standard cubic feet per day). Pertagas, according to Hendra, optimistic accelerated development of open access transmission pipeline along the 138 km will run smoothly.

"We are targeting completion in September 2015," added Hendra.

Construction of the section, said Hendra, is the next step following the operation of LNG Regasification Terminal Revenue & Arun and Arun Pipes - Belawan.

In addition to maximizing the Arun regasification facilities, this pipeline will also raise the assuredness of supply of gas to the industrial sector in North Sumatera.

"With the availability of regasification terminals, the gas supply source into many, not only dependent on the supply of gas in the vicinity of the gas pipeline," said Hendra.

In terms of the distribution of gas to industries in KIM and KEK, Pertagas commissioned its subsidiary, PT Pertagas Commerce. As in the KEK, in addition to industry, the gas is also prepared to meet the potential consumers more power plants or Independent Power Producer (IPP).
